SSH4A Results

This project is active

The 4-year Sustainable Sanitation & Hygiene for All Results programme will enable access to improved sanitation for over 2 million people and improved hygiene for over 2.7 million people in nine countries across Africa and Asia.

The Sustainable Sanitation & Hygiene for All Results (SSH4A Results) programme is an innovative partnership with the UK Department for International Development (DFID) and has been designed to ensure tangible impacts in community health and quality of life. As a results-based finance programme, SSH4A Results links financing directly to outcomes – with verifiable indicators ensuring impact at every step.

Building the future

The SSH4A Results programme looks beyond its own lifespan and towards creating the foundations for sustained change and future scaling up. The evidence gathered through the programme will be used to advocate for increased donor and government priority for sanitation. SNV aims to expand SSH4A Results in and beyond the current nine programme countries (Ethiopia, Ghana, Kenya, Mozambique, Tanzania, Uganda, South Sudan, Zambia, and Nepal), with the launch of at least two new programmes targeting an additional 8 million people by the end of 2017.
