BBC meets the camels combating climate change impacts

Recently the BBC sent journalist Hannah McNeish to northern Kenya to meet the women who have switched to camel rearing to withstand the impact of drought on their livelihoods.

Camels cope with drought far better than cows, and unlike cows can go for 10 days without water and still produce milk. SNV has been working with enterprising pastoralist women to build a thriving camel milk dairy business, which is both increasing their incomes and resilience to climate change.
