From July to October 2017, the Ghana Climate Innovation Centre (GCIC) is undertaking a Nationwide Roadshow. The main objective of the roadshow is to ensure a regional balance in applications from Ghanaian cleantech enterprises to the GCIC and to engage stakeholders at the local level.

All 10 regions of Ghana will be visited by a team which includes Ashesi University, Ernst&Young, SNV and United Nations University. The first batch of GCIC entrepreneurs are also part of the roadshows. So far the team carried out activities in Brong Ahafo, Northern, Upper East, and Upper West Regions. Through radio shows, social media and other targetted communications strategies, entrepreneurs who could apply to our second round of applications are being invited to come to the event near them to learn more about the GCIC.

We have also engaged with a number of stakeholders in the green economy space at regional level and plan to meet a lot more in the subsequent regions. The set of activities has been designed to engage with relevant stakeholders in academia, research, government, and industry; and introduce to them the core mandate of the GCIC, as well as give them opportunity to acquaint themselves with how they could potentially source support from the Centre or partner in its activities.

For more information about the GCIC and for applying, please visit the GCIC website.
