Is your company active in the horticulture sector? Are you interested to enter the growing Kenyan market? Do you need practical guidancen and financial support? Then join our hortIMPACT trade mission to Kenya from 16 - 19 May. 

During the trade mission we offer you a customised programme, including:

  • Matchmaking services with Kenyan and other Dutch companies;
  • Field visits to relevant horticulture companies and initiatives;
  • Face to face meeting with companies and other organisation in the Kenyan horticulture sector;
  • A focused exploration of your planned activities together with our horticulture experts.

Horticulture in Kenya

The demand for high quality, safe food in Kenya will keep rising in the coming years, due to an expanding middle class and new export opportunities. To meet this growing demand, there is an immediate need for expertise throughout the Kenyan horticulture value chain. The Dutch horticulture sector can play a vital role in professionalising and commericalising the Kenyan horticulture sector.

The HortIMPACT project offers a tailor made services to participating companies. As a part of the HortIMPACT project, SNV can invest 50% in innovative acitivities such as pilot projects or market studies (up to €200,000). Currently more than 25 companiers are involved in the HortIMPACT programme.

Costs for participants

Costs for participation in the trade mission are euro;500,- per company (maximum 2 people). This will allow you to participate in the entire programme and all services as described above. Local transport and meals are included. Your company is responsible for flight, hotel, and non-programme related costs.
