SNV to present at upcoming Clean Cooking Forum 2017

SNV will participate in the upcoming Clean Cooking Forum, organised by the Global Alliance for Clean Cookstoves which will take place from 24-26 October, in Delhi.

The Clean Cooking Forum is a landmark, biennial gathering of people working to accelerate the production, deployment, and use of cleaner, more efficient cookstoves and fuels.

The theme of the Clean Cooking Forum 2017 is Driving Demand, Delivering Impact and this year’s event will bring together over 500 global leaders and practitioners from business, finance, civil society, the UN, government, and academia.

On October 26, Dr Rianne Teule, Senior Advocacy Officer Renewable Energy, SNV will moderate a panel discussion focusing on the role of national alliances in building markets for clean cookstoves and fuels.

On the same day, Tom Derksen, Managing Director, Renewable Energy SNV will join a panel entitled Beyond Carbon: Results-Based Financing to Achieve the SDGs. In this session, speakers will address successes and challenges related to various results-based finance mechanisms such as the Stove Auction in SE Asia, SNV’s RBF programme, and the ADALY pilot in Laos.
