SNV - A proud partner of international renewable energy conference

SNV is delighted to be one of the main partners for the upcoming International Conference on Solar Technologies & Hybrid Mini Grids which will take place 17-19 October 2018 in Palma de Mallorca.

About the event

The objective of this year‘s conference is to provide a space for the exchange of hands-on experience between industry practitioners, academia and development institutions working in the field of decentralized energy. The conference will cover technical, business and management aspects of solar technologies and mini grids with the aim of knowledge sharing and networking.

Last year’s event saw a multitude of organizations and companies gain valuable experience with regards to the sale and distribution of solar lanterns, plug-and-play systems and solar home systems managed through either cash sales or Pay-as-you-go approaches.

SNV at the event

SNV is a key partner for the event. Other partners include EnDevGIZSiemens Foundation and the Waterloo institute for sustainability. In addition, SNV’s innovative Finance Expert, Dean Cooper will sit on the scientific programme committee for the event helping to shape the agenda.

The conference will invite acknowledged experts to provide an overview of the different technology areas and give room to those participants who would like to present their scientific research results or share their experiences from field work.
