SNV joins NDC partnership to work towards climate action

SNV is delighted to be accepted as a new Associate Member of the NDC Partnership.

The Partnership was launched at COP22 in Marrakesh and aims to enhance cooperation so that countries have access to the technical knowledge and financial support they need to achieve large-scale climate and sustainable development targets as quickly and effectively as possible.

Through its work the NDC Partnership builds in-country capacity and increases knowledge sharing so that climate policies have meaningful and enduring impacts, and drive increasing global ambition over time.

By joining this partnership SNV becomes part of a wider coalition of members and institutions committed to working together towards these shared goals. SNV’s application was accepted due to our dedication in pursuing ambitious climate action and enhancing sustainable development.

SNV recognizes that ending poverty will not be possible if climate change is not accounted for and it could roll back decades of development gains. This is particularly the case for the sectors we work in – agriculture, energy and WASH. Please click here to read more about our climate action programme.

The NDC Partnership is open to countries and international institutions that are committed to ambitious implementation of nationally determined contributions (NDCs) under the Paris Agreement and the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals.
