Bhutan community reports: climate-resilient WASH
Collaborative report with community partners in Bhutan visually documenting household management and access to WASH services during extreme weather conditions.
Abstract
This visual report highlights several household coping mechanisms for Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) as documented by diverse community members – including women, men, individuals with disabilities, and their caregivers – from Sakten village (Trashigang District), Chapcha and Sampheling villages (Chhukha District), and Lhamoizingkha village (Dagana District). It offers actionable recommendations for WASH stakeholders – local government authorities, rights-holder organisations, and community leaders – aimed at enhancing support for rural households facing climate-related challenges.
