This is the African Biodigester Component (ABC) newsletter for July - Dec 2025. ABC Uganda continues to spearhead efforts towards building a resilient, sustainable, and inclusive biodigester sector.

  • Abstract

    This period marked a pivotal phase for ABC as we transitioned from market stimulation to consolidation and long-term sector resilience. Throughout Quarters 3 and 4, we deepened partnerships, strengthened coordination mechanisms, and advanced practical solutions to some of the most persistent barriers to biodigester adoption- namely affordability, technical capacity, access to finance, and policy alignment.

    Highlights from this edition include progress in local manufacturing of prefabricated biodigesters, expanded access to green financing for farmers, strengthened government-led sector coordination, and valuable regional insights gained from the ABC Knowledge Exchange in Cotonou, Benin.
