  • Abstract

This brief outlines the partnership's experience in conducting leadership activities for female health workers, women with disabilities, and select 'would-be-heroes' in parts of Bhutan.

Drawing lessons from practical experience, the brief's contributors present eight key recommendations to strengthen the transformative potential of leadership exercises. This includes investing adequately in preparations prior to the workshops, creating linkages with other issue-based groups such as Organisations for People with Disabilities and women's groups, and seeking out other avenues and channels for continued participant engagement after the conclusion of workshops.
