Abstract
Pro-ARIDES brings together real stories from communities across the Sahel, illustrating how households are strengthening food security, improving nutrition, and diversifying incomes in the face of climate and economic pressures.
Drawing on insights from over 140,000 households, the stories reflect progress in sustainable land management, climate-resilient practices, and greater participation of women and young people in local decision-making and financial systems. At the same time, they acknowledge ongoing challenges, including resource conflicts and pressures on livelihoods.
Working with over 3000 local organisations, these stories offer a grounded view of how resilience is being built, shaped by local realities, collective action, and long-term commitment.
