WASH-GEM climate modules
Measuring 'what matters' to contribute to GESI-informed and climate-resilient WASH systems for all.
Abstract
This report summarises the findings and lessons from piloting the Institute for Sustainable Futures at the University of Technology Sydney's WASH-GEM climate modules: 'a quantitative measurement tool that explores the diverse WASH experiences of gender equality by both men and women,' now enriched with climate resilience aspects. The modules were piloted in development programmes of the iDE (in Cambodia and Ghana) and SNV (Nepal, Lao PDR, and Bhutan). The report describes the updated methodological tool, its application, findings, and concludes with a brief description and reflections on WASH-GEM's strength and limitations.
