SNV participates in the drafting of The Netherlands International Trade and Aid Policy

On 19 March, SNV participated in a NGO Consultation to contribute to the drafting of the International Trade and Aid Policy of the Government of The Netherlands.

In addition, SNV formally responded to the revision of this policy, with a formal letter.

The letter (in Dutch) cautions against adding additional 'pillars' to the development agenda, such as policies goals regarding conflict, stability and migration, as well as the improvement of the international position of Dutch businesses. Such an accumulation could be at the expense of an explicit focus on structural poverty reduction and the SDGs.
