Abstract
2025 challenged many assumptions about international cooperation and development. Geopolitical fragmentation, declining development finance, accelerating climate pressures, and growing pressure on food, energy, and water systems underscored the need for approaches that are more connected, locally led, and capable of delivering change at scale.
Together with our partners, SNV responded with clarity rather than turning inward. We reinforced our commitment to working through national and subnational systems. Together, we intensified our contributions in strengthening systems that endure in fragile, conflict, and violence-affected regions; supported the expansion of opportunities across inclusive systems; and advanced the conditions that turn traditional development grants into catalytic investments that unlock capital.
This report demonstrates how stronger collaboration, evidence-informed practice, and coordinated action can help navigate uncertainty, expand opportunity, and secure new investment pathways. More than a record of achievements, the Annual Report and Annual Accounts 2025 reflect SNV's continued commitment to systems change and the ambitions of our Strategy 2030, demonstrating how we are strengthening our contribution to the complex, interconnected challenges that define today’s world.
